
As officially confirmed today, Rod Stewart will perform at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on 17 December 2025 and present all his hits from six decades to the audience in the United Arab Emirates.
Sir Rod is returning to the Emirates after eight years. The Brit last played a show in Abu Dhabi in March 2017. Stewart commented on Facebook: ‘Abu Dhabi, I'm so excited to be playing for you on 17 December! It's going to be a great show!’
Tickets for the show this December go on sale next Friday, 18 April. The presale for the show at the Etihad Arena starts tomorrow, Thursday 17 April.
The Etihad Arena is a fully air-conditioned event hall. The shape of the arena is reminiscent of a polished gemstone and is designed for events with a maximum capacity of 18,000 visitors. In addition to concerts, the arena also frequently hosts sporting events, such as basketball matches and swimming competitions. A temporary 25-metre swimming pool was installed especially for the 2021 World Short Course Championships. Music acts that have performed in the arena so far include Sting, Lionel Richie, Michal Bublé, Coldplay, Robbie Williams, Bryan Adams, Tom Jones, Guns ‘n’ Roses, Def Leppard, Maroon 5 and Shania Twain.
