As we all know, tastes are different and each of us has songs that we love and listen to every day and each of us has songs that don't spin on the turntable too often because we don't particularly like them.
It's always interesting when someone creates a song ranking, publishes it and then presents it as the ultimate song list. Admittedly, we all look at such rankings. Is my favourite song in there? If not, why not? But I don't think it's good at all. That's how we read such hit lists, which in the end are always compiled subjectively and by no means always reflect an objective opinion.
Now the online music magazine ‘Singersroom’ has published a ranking of the ten best Faces songs of all time. Stay With Me is the undisputed number one. ‘Stay With Me is without question the Faces‘ most iconic song,’ writes the magazine. Closely followed by Ohh La La in second place, Oooh La La, ‘is a bittersweet reflection on the passage of time, youth and the wisdom that often comes too late’, the description reads.
Third place in the Singersroom ranking goes to Cindy Incidentally. The song has ‘an optimistic, stirring melody and an undeniable charm’.
