Robbie Williams has become as much a part of the music business as Big Ben is to London. After his early days as a member of the boyband Take That, the 50-year-old has gone on to enjoy an impressive solo career and has been a major player in the music scene for several decades now.
And that is far from over, as Williams revealed in an interview with the ‘Daily Star Sunday’. Williams emphasised that after many years in showbiz, he no longer has anything to prove to anyone. Nevertheless, he expressed his desire to continue performing on stage for many years to come, just like his compatriot Rod Stewart, whom he described as his inspiration. It is absolutely worth mentioning that Stewart, who made music history with hits such as ‘Maggie May’, ‘is still actively producing music and giving regular concerts even at the age of 80’, said the ex-Take That frontman.
Robbie told the ‘Daily Star Sunday’: ‘I can really only guess what my future will look like. And if Rod Stewart is anything to go by, I'd like to have a similar career to him. He can still be Rod today. I hope the public will allow me to be Robbie when I'm his age.’
