Sir Rod Stewart is one of the top acts at the FireAid benefit concert in aid of the victims of the devastating fire disaster in Los Angeles. This was announced today.
In addition to Stewart, artists such as Sting, Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Pink and Katy Perry will also be performing at the concert. The event will take place on 30 January at the Intuit Dome and the neighbouring Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
The goal of the concert is to raise funds to help rebuild communities affected by the wildfires and support efforts to prevent future fire disasters throughout Southern California, according to organisers. The event will be available on multiple platforms, including Apple Music, Apple TV App, Netflix, Paramount+ and Prime Video. Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster from Wednesday, with more artists to be announced later, the organisers added.
Sir Rod had lived in Los Angeles since 1975, most recently residing in a neat little house in Beverly Hills, about 14 miles west of LA. It was not until 2023 that Stewart announced that he would be moving his centre of life back to England.
