Amidst all the festivities and activities for Rod Stewart's 80th birthday yesterday, the news of another concert this year almost got lost, or at least missed out a little.
As was announced on Thursday, Sir Rod will be performing at Yankee Stadium in New York City on 18 July - together with ‘piano man’ Billy Joel.
‘New York! I'm pleased to announce that I'll be performing at the legendary Yankee Stadium with my mate Billy - for one night only! Mark your calendars for Friday 18 July 2025!’ wrote the now 80-year-old Stewart on his social media channels.
The two music giants will be playing a show together in Pittsburgh on 5 July. Tickets for the concert in New York's Bronx district will be available from Friday 17 January. The fan club presale starts next Monday (at 10 a.m. ET)
