All fingers crossed, Celtic Football Club suffered their first defeat of the season in the Scottish Premiership in the first game of the new year. The Hoops lost 3-0 in the Glasgow city derby of all places, with Rod Stewart and son Alistair watching the game on TV while on holiday in Florida. However, the Bhoys in Green did not quite fulfil their request for three points. However, the defeat at Rangers did not hit the Kantor particularly hard, as Celtic still have an eleven-point lead over their arch-rivals in the table.
