‘We are delighted to announce that Sir Rod Stewart will be a teatime legend at Glastonbury 2025 on Sunday, performing at Worthy Farm for the first time since his appearance on the Pyramid Stage in 2002,’ the organisers announced.
Stewart shared the news via his social media channels this morning, writing: ‘I'm delighted to announce that I will be performing at Glastonbury Festival 2025! After all these years I'm proud and ready and more than able to be back on stage to delight and titillate my friends at Glastonbury in June. See you there!’
The Glastonbury Festival has been held every year since 1970 (with a few interruptions) on a farm near Pilton, close to the town of Glastonbury in the south-west of England, and is often referred to as the ‘Woodstock of England’.
The long list of singers and bands who have performed there includes David Bowie, Paul McCartney, Joe Cocker, Amy Winehouse, Peter Gabriel, James Brown, Van Morrison, the Rolling Stones, Coldplay and Lenny Kravitz.
