Sir Rod Stewart spent today, Saturday, travelling to Glasgow. The 79-year-old singer was a guest in the stands at Celtic Park for Celtic FC's home game against Aberdeen FC. However, the Scottish Premiership top-of-the-table clash did not produce a winner - the Bhoys in Green and the Dons drew 2:2 (2:0).
Rod was still in high spirits after just over half an hour of play, however, as his beloved Hoops led 2-0 with goals from Reo Hatate (24) and Kyogo Furuhashi (27) and went into the break with the same advantage.
After the break, however, second-placed Aberdeen hit back in front of over 60,000 spectators: Ester Sokler reduced the deficit to 1-2 for the Dons in the 50th minute and Graeme Shinnie even equalised for the visitors just ten minutes later (60').
Celtic put everything on the line in the final ten minutes, but the Hoops were unable to beat FCA keeper Dimitar Mitov again despite numerous great chances.
Both teams are now joint top of the table with 22 points - but Celtic have the significantly better goal difference (+21 compared to +9) and are therefore top of the table.
