Autumn is here and with it the days of stadium concerts, festivals and other outdoor musical events are over. Where just a few weeks ago tens of thousands of fans celebrated a huge party with their star, at this time of year the rain regularly pours down and the cool temperatures make everything even more unpleasant. Musicians and bands like to retreat to the studio during the cool and grey months to work on one or two records. They also need to position themselves on the market for the upcoming Christmas season.
This is why October and November are popular release months for many singers and bands. Sir Rod Stewart has also released one or two albums in autumn during his long career. October became something like his ‘favourite release month’ - the Brit released ten albums between 1 and 31 October, plus his 2012 autobiography ROD, which was published on 29 October 2012.

No release is currently planned for October 2024. Sir Rod is enjoying time at home with his family after a busy summer of touring in 2024, before playing the last four concerts of the year at the end of the month and in December.
