Goodbye Canada - Hello Paradise

Sir Rod Stewart hardly had time to catch his breath after his last concert on Sunday in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Off the stage and onto the plane that took the 79-year-old back to London, the rush is understandable, as Celtic FC's first home game in the Champions League against Slovakian club Slovan Bratislava is scheduled for Wednesday. And Rod Stewart is sure to be one of over 60,000 spectators in Paradise, as Celtic Park is known.

But before that, Stewart put on another thrilling show for the fans in the Canadian province of Ontario. In front of 5,000 spectators, Rod once again lined up hit after hit on the OLG stage at Fallsview Casino, but refrained from any major surprises on the set list.

The show on the edge of the world-famous Niagara Falls was Rod Stewart's 50th concert this year and it's not over yet. There are still four more shows on the programme before the end of the year. But now the singer can take a break of around five and a half weeks and enjoy the Celtic game on Wednesday before his next performance on 23 October in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This will be followed by a concert in Nassau in the Bahamas on 25 October, before concerts in Herning (Denmark) and Coruna (Spain) in December bring the eventful concert year 2024 to a close.
